Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionand concurrent enrollment in ESL Reading and Listening/ Speaking courses at the student's assessed levels are highly recommended. ESLW 20 is a writing course for non-native English speakers at the novice level. This course is an introduction to writing in English. Students write about familiar topics focusing on the structure of English sentences including parts of speech and word order. Emphasis is on the production of clear, basic written sentences using common everyday vocabulary. Question formation is also demonstrated and practiced. By the end of the semester, students will be able to write simple sentences using correct grammar.
