This course includes discussion of the history of children's literature and of current issues, such as censorship, literacy, and multicultural diversity. This course covers literary elements of plot, characters, setting, theme, style, and techniques specific to children's literature, such as illustrations and visual elements. This course provides students of literature an opportunity to appreciate all genres of children's literature.
