From Gandhi to Martin Luther King, Solzhenitsyn to Gramsci, Angela Davis to Nelson Mandela to Leonard Peltier, Malcolm X and countless others, prison writings form a record of resistance to tyranny and oppression worldwide. This class examines these writings, their impact and the resistance movements of which they are a part.
