    Description
    GETC Area 5C This course introduces the major concepts of biological science with an emphasis on human biology. It is intended for non-science majors and disciplines requiring a broad overview of Biology (e.g. some Allied Health programs). Topics covered include: cell biology, metabolism, Mendelian and molecular genetics, evolution, anatomy and physiology, animal behavior, and ecology. The laboratory activities are designed to further investigate and illuminate each topic area. Students may be required to purchase eye protection and disposable gloves. Field trips outside of class time may be required. Additionally, students may be required to provide their own transportation to field trip sites.
