    Description
Students will be introduced to principles of formal and informal reasoning. Propositional logic, a system for deductive logical analysis, is discussed. This will include symbolization, tests for logical validity, and natural deduction proofs. Students will also examine other critical thinking topics including meaning and definition, ordinary language argument diagramming, informal fallacies, scientific and other hypothetical reasoning, and cognitive biases.
