Transfers ToCSUDescriptionSwiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced (SRTA) integrates techniques learned in SRT 1 and TRR: TL, taking the students beyond the emphasis on self-rescue to concentrate on victim rescue. This three-day course combines advanced water rescue techniques with rope skills. Students are exposed to more complex water rescue situations culminating in the completion of a mock night river rescue scenario and a tyrolean with a mid-point drop pick-off rescue. Upon completion of this class student will be an approved National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) rope and water rescue technician.
