    Description
This is the final course in a series of three sequential medical-surgical nursing theory courses. This third course explores the complex pathophysiology of conditions that affect multi-body systems. Emphasis will be placed on integrating knowledge of the applicable patient data for topics covered. This includes understanding anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, etiology, signs and symptoms, lab values, diagnostics, treatments, and medications, as well as the patient’s cultural and environmental needs. Ongoing application of the nursing process and Clinical Judgment Model will be utilized as tools to facilitate critical thinking.
