    An introduction to the study of nursing and the professional role of the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). This first class will cover the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and fundamentals of patient physical assessment as well as an introduction to the physiological processes of the human body. Other topics covered include ethical and legal issues of practice, effective communication skills, concepts of holistic health and Transcultural nursing, fundamentals of infection preventions, and concepts in adult development.
