Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis is an intermediate course designed to allow students to take advantage of specialized prescribed fire and other wildland fire training opportunities that take place as part of TREX (prescribed fire training exchanges) and related events. Students will practice essential field skills that will support them in becoming effective prescribed fire practitioners. This course involves rigorous activity, including travel on steep and uneven ground and possible exposure to smoke. This course may be scheduled with to-be-arranged (TBA) hours, where specific meeting days and times will be determined during the semester, closer to the official course start date, to accommodate shifting weather conditions and the availability of support personnel, facilities, and equipment.
