    Description
    The student will be able to identify and address health and safety needs of children and adults in early childhood center-based programs, family child care settings or in individual homes. Topics include: Playground safety, facilities management, sanitation, immunizations, disease prevention and control, food storage, child abuse and neglect, fire safety, flooding, earthquake safety, emergency preparedness and risk management plans. EMSA Certification available with a grade of “C” or better in the Preventative Child Care Health and Safety Curriculum.
