    Description
    This course will continue to build students' simultaneous interpretation skills. Students will begin to interpret more complex legal, medical and educational proceedings at faster speeds. Students will be rendering simultaneous interpretation of complex materials such as testimony of expert witnesses in the legal field, patient education sessions in medical settings, and parent information sessions in educational settings, among others. Students will also acquire the skills necessary to build glossaries for complex subjects, and in the process expand vocabulary to include terminology related to drugs, violence, weapons, DNA, medical topics, special education terminology, and other specialized vocabulary. At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to interpret proceedings at speeds of 145+ wpm.
