    Description
    This course will introduce students to simultaneous legal interpretation. Students will learn how to comply with the legal equivalence requirements of simultaneous interpretation. There will be emphasis on reviewing; the history of simultaneous interpretation, the role of the interpreter, relevant settings and research skills. Students will practice paraphrasing, chunking and shadowing exercises to increase vocabulary and create a strong foundation to begin acquiring simultaneous interpreting skills up to 125 words per minute.
