Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course introduces the scientific study of psychopathology and atypical behaviors from a variety of perspectives including biological, psychological and sociocultural approaches. The course surveys the multidimensional influences on the diagnosis, etiology, and treatment of abnormal patterns of behavior. Traditional psychological models, as well as current research evidence of the reciprocal relationship of biology and behavior, are used to study psychopathology. Clinical cases are used to examine life-span cultural influences on abnormal behavior. (C-ID PSY 120)
