    Description
    This course surveys the political, economic, cultural, social and intellectual development of the United States from Reconstruction to the present. The course emphasizes the U.S. expansion to the Pacific, its rise as a superpower through WW I, WW II, and the Cold War. Students will examine the role of major ethnic, gender and social groups in U.S. history. (C-ID HIST 140)
