    This course covers the political, cultural, and philosophical development of Western culture and society through the study of the institutions, thought, literary and artistic expression since 1600 C.E. It is intended to be a chronological approach which introduces the students to the ideas and accomplishments of significant men and women in each period. (C-ID HIST 180)
