    Description
This is an interdisciplinary course in which students examine the interaction between human societies and the environment. Students will study important physical and biological properties necessary for life on Earth. They will explore major issues that are bound to affect the future of humans on our planet including population growth, resource exploitation, pollution, climate change, and the loss of biodiversity. Students will also consider environmental policies and the prospects for a sustainable future. Field trips may be required. ENVIR-010 meets general education requirements for science with a lab and can be counted as either a life science or as a physical science course.
