This lecture and laboratory course emphasizes the form and function, evolution, and biodiversity of unicellular and multicellular organisms. Topics include bacteria, archaea, protists, fungi, plants, and animals including the phylogenetic relationships among major taxa, macroevolution and Earth history, ecology, and adaptation.
