    Description
    This course is an introduction to the theories and applications of two-dimensional form in visual art and design. The students will use a variety of media, tools and techniques in studying the elements and principles of design, which includes the study of line, shape, volume, value, color, texture, pattern, illusion of spatial depth, balance, unity and variety, and scale. The course emphasizes the development of visual vocabulary for creative expression through lecture presentation, studio projects, problem solving and written assignment. Field trips may be included.
