Topics such as ocean safety, hazards, currents, tides, weather conditions, wave selection, surfing etiquette, board and wetsuit selection, and paddle technique will be emphasized. Note: Students may furnish their own surfboards and protective wetsuits to off-campus sites at local beaches. Surfboards and wetsuits are also available for rent on a daily basis.
