    Description
    2 hours lecture per week to be arranged (maximum of 36 hours per semester) Enrollment Limitation: audition (previous band or ensemble experience or ability to perform music of moderate difficulty on percussion instruments) Noncredit These ensembles for the older adult rehearse and perform literature written for combinations of melody and/or rhythm percussion instruments. The ensembles include quartets, quintets, sextets, and larger ensembles and may be combined with wind or string instruments to complete the instrumentation appropriate to the selected literature. Emphasis is placed on instrumental techniques, improvisation, and musicianship. Performances are held on campus and in the community.
