Description: This course provides study and practical application of a medical vocabulary system according to body systems. Students review the basic construction of medical words, concentrating on word origins, root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Word structure, recognition, analysis, definition, spelling, and pronunciation are presented in the context of medical terms for organs, diseases, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and medical surgical procedures.
