    Description
This is an introductory course that explores the intersectionality between the study of language (its properties and characteristics) and language use (in their community of origin and cross-culturally). Emphasis is placed on an in-depth study of linguistic units larger than the sound, studied via morphology, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics. In addition, this course explores community linguistic practices and cross-cultural communication as it relates to cross -linguistics studies in morphology, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics.
