    Description
    This course is a survey of the history of the United States from 1877 to the present with particular emphasis on the role of African Americans in shaping American society. The contributions of African Americans to the American society as a whole will also be examined. Note: This course meets the criteria of the CSU graduation requirement for United States History, Constitution, and American Ideals. The maximum UC credit allowed for students completing HIST 110 and 111 and HIST 101 and HIST 102 and/or HIST 105 and HIST 106 is one series.
