- In this course, students learn to speak English with dialects. They apply the International Phonetic Alphabet, observation of professional actors and research of authentic speakers to performance for stage and recorded media. Dialects include, but are not limited to, General American Speech, Upper Class British, Cockney, Irish, Russian, French, Southern, and New York. Theater Arts Department
