    Description
In this course, students study the history and development of theater and drama, from the 5th century BCE to the current theater world scene. Students examine how, from pre-civilization to present day, theater has served a variety of functions within different cultures and societies and examine how, throughout history, theater changes in response to the changing needs and concerns of a given culture, so that students can understand and articulate the relationship between theater and society.
