    Description
    This course is an introduction to the scientific study of social phenomena, with a focus on understanding diverse communities and cultural contexts. Topics include research design, conceptualization, measurement, sampling methodology, and both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Students will learn how to critically examine and analyze data. Fieldwork and data collection will center on issues relevant to the lived experiences of diverse groups.
