This course presents and explains the principles of real estate finance and credit, as well as analysis of money, markets, rates, new regulations, and procedures for financing real estate: Policies, problems, rules, and current trends. It provides a step-by-step guide to resolving the common real estate financing problems and explains the programs and types of mortgages available, including conventional, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Veterans Administration (VA) and California Veteran's Program (Cal Vet) are covered as well as insight into types of lending institutions and secondaryversus primary markets. Subjects including loan application, loan processing, loan underwriting, debt-to-income ratios, fair lending practices and predatory lending. This course is part of the Department of Real Estate educational requirements for the Real Estate Broker's examination and license.
