    Description
This course critically surveys and examines, both from local and global perspectives, some of the philosophical accomplishments in feminist philosophy. Philosophy 044 exposes students to current problems raised by feminist thinkers and allows students to explore feminist philosophical methods and perspectives in such areas as human nature, epistemology, ethics, and aesthetics, while focusing specifically on gender related socio-political and ethical issues, as these relate to students' lives, to their communities, and in the context of social justice, diversity, and equity.
