Students apply techniques commonly used by geographers to understand our world which reveals the origins, diffusion, and contemporary spatial expressions of such diverse aspects of the human experience such as cultural traditions and popular culture, attributes of populations and migration, languages, religions, and ethnic identity, political structures and nationalism, agriculture and food, economic systems, urbanization, and landscape modification.
