    Description
    This course surveys the political, economic, social, and intellectual history of the Pacific Coast from the Pre-Columbian Era, the Spanish Era, the Mexican Years and lastly, the Anglo Presence, with special emphasis on California. A greater emphasis is given to the role of the Chicana/o and Latina/o people in the economic, political, social, and cultural development of California from the time of the Spanish Empire to the present.
