    Description
course with all lab hours offered in-person. This intensive technical course in general and inorganic chemistry is for students in the various professional curricula demanding competence in the utilization of basic chemical principles and information. The relationships between the structure and the properties of matter, physical and chemical, are emphasized. Chemical principles are presented both qualitatively and quantitatively. Topics include stoichiometry, colligative properties, gases, thermochemistry, bonding, and solution chemistry. The course has a laboratory component that emphasizes the quantitative aspect of chemistry; furthermore, the lab component introduces students to the study of chemistry - both physical and chemical changes - using current environmental examples.
