    Description
This course provides beginning instruction in drawing with graphite, charcoal, conte' crayon, and other drawing media through the visual elements of art: Line, value, shape, form, mass, texture, and color. Subject matter from nature and still life is included. Basic skills are developed, such as eye-hand coordination and sighting techniques. The emphasis is on learning how to depict illusionistic space through the use of light logic and one- and twopoint perspective. It is a basic course required for all art majors and is recommended for non-art majors.
