    Description
    The course will examine the history of rock and roll and its musical roots. Students will learn basic music listening skills while examining the multicultural history of rock and its connection to contemporary American culture. Audio recordings, audio-visual recordings, and live performances are used to study the evolution of rock and it various musical roots including blues, country, Rhythm and Blues (R&B), and folk music.
