    This introductory course surveys the sub-disciplines related to the study of human movement including history, sociology, biomechanics, physiology, and psychology, as they pertain to the sport and exercise environment. In addition, students explore three career pathways involving the study of human movement: teaching, research, and professional practice. The course also introduces students to the concepts and skills of locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and communicating information in various formats.
