Description: This course is a continuation of JRNAL-126 and requires higher skill level and/or leadership/management involvement for the college's student newspaper, "The Inquirer" and its website. Emphasis is placed on management skills, methods for tackling longer-term projects, practical experience in design/layout, and working in formats suitable for print, social media, and the internet. Students will be expected to exercise news judgment, meet daily and weekly deadlines, adhere to the highest ethical principles, and be vigilant about accuracy. They will also exercise their First Amendment responsibilities by allowing The Inquirer to be a forum for the diverse views of the DVC community.
