    Description
    This course presents general field methods of geologic science. It is designed to provide students with the basic skills required to collect geologic data in the field and the skills necessary for constructing simple geologic maps. Types of fieldwork will include compass and orienteering work, measurement of rock features and descriptions of outcrops, as well as identification and mapping of geologic contacts.
