    Description
This course introduces students to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), the technologies involved and their operation. Course topics include safety procedures, flight operations, and basic UAS maintenance. The laboratory portion of the course provides students with hands-on experience with piloting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or “drones”). The course also prepares students for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS pilot examination. FAA UAS certification (Part 107) is required to operate UAVs commercially.
