    Description
    In this course, students will evaluate and explore various American cultures: African Americans, Chicanx/Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander Americans, and Native Americans as represented in feature film. The course highlights the contributions of different ethnic cultures in film history and critically examines how different filmmakers have used film to capture multiple histories and subjectivities of various ethnic groups as well as promote resistance, social action, and new ways of understanding American culture.
