    Description
In this course, students analyze classic and contemporary narrative nonfiction writing, to identify the aspects and strategies of successful creative nonfiction works. The readings represent the diverse perspectives of African American, Native American, European American, Asian American, and Latinx American writers. Students then employ the craft elements to plan and compose creative nonfiction essays with an emphasis on the strategies necessary to develop an authentic narrative voice. Students will workshop their pieces in class, focusing on the revision and editing processes.
