    Description
    In this course, students analyze classic and contemporary poetry to identify the aspects and strategies of successful poems. The readings represent the diverse perspectives of African American, Native American, European American, Asian American, Latinx American, and/or world writers. Students employ the craft elements to plan and compose poems with an emphasis on the strategies necessary to develop poems. Students workshop their pieces in class, focusing on the revision and editing processes.
