    Description
    In this course, students analyze classic and contemporary short fiction writing to identify the characteristics and strategies of successful works of fiction. The readings represent the diverse perspectives of African American, Native American, European American, Asian American, Latinx American, and/or world writers. Students employ the craft elements to plan and compose fiction pieces. Students workshop their pieces in class, focusing on revision and editing processes.
