    Description
In this course, students will compose different pieces representing a variety of literary genres. Students will read in different genres in order to learn various writing techniques, styles, and conventions. The readings represent the diverse perspectives of African American, Native American, European American, Asian American, and Latinx American writers. Students then employ the identified literary techniques and craft elements to plan and compose their own creative works. Students will workshop their pieces in class, focusing on the revision and editing processes.
