- This course explores diverse voices in contemporary poetry. Through analysis, discussion, writing, and other projects, the course encourages students to identify and interpret poetic elements (conduct close readings) and then connect their interpretations to the poems’ historical, social, cultural, political contexts, and/or aesthetic movements.
