    Description
    This course is a study of properties of engineering materials as related to their atomic, microscopic, and macroscopic structures. The application of the basic principles of physics and chemistry to the engineering properties of materials will be covered. Special emphasis will be devoted to the relation between microstructure and the mechanical properties of metals, concrete, polymers, and ceramics, and the electrical properties of semiconducting materials.
