    Description
    This course covers the principles and practices of surveying including measurement of distances, directions, elevations, and measuring standards. An introduction to electronic measurements and calibration as well as systematic and random-error analysis is presented. Students will use surveying instruments, perform Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements, and gain experience with map reading and mapping.
