Emphasis is placed on understanding and using principles of inductive and deductive reasoning as well as on evaluation and creation of argument, persuasion, and criticism of visual culture topics from both visual, performance, and textual sources. Historic styles and movements of dance including the Diaghilev period of Ballet and the development of modern dance are discussed, emphasizing their influence on present-day ballet, modern, and contemporary dance practice.
