Transfers ToCSUCSU GE Area EDescriptionThis course will engage students in the study and application of current research related to happiness and well-being. Students will practice strategies for creating more happiness, well-being, and fulfillment in their lives. Topics include the biological, environmental, and behavioral influences on happiness, as well as the cultural dimensions of well-being. The role of emotional intelligence, mindfulness, gratitude, altruism/activism, optimism, purpose and other factors in the cultivation of happiness is emphasized. Students will also be introduced to campus and community services that address common college mental health challenges.
