    Description
    This is an introductory course designed to expose students to environmental science. Human interactions with the environment and their consequences for living and nonliving systems will be examined. Topics will include evolution, ecology, biodiversity, human population dynamics, natural resource use, pollution, environmental degradation, climate change, marine and freshwater resources, and environmental policy. The laboratory component will cover the scientific method, experimental design, sampling methods, as well as data collection, analysis, and presentation.
