    Description
    This course presents the history of Western art from the Paleolithic through the end of the Roman period and the beginning of early Christian art. Archeological and anthropological concepts are discussed in relation to the study of art styles. The social and cultural backgrounds of ancient civilizations and the role of the artist will be considered.
