- This course presents an overview of the concepts and definitions related to co-occurring (dual) disorders, and the impact that co-occurring disorders have on addiction treatment and recovery. Emphasis will be placed on the various strategies that mental health and substance abuse professionals use to address co-occurring disorders with reference to the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
